Although recycling bins are everywhere in Hong Kong, the recycling rate is quite unsatisfactory. This reflects the environmental awareness is low in the community. Research reveals that education is a key factor to sustainable development. Therefore, we have designed the tool "Smart Recycling Bin" using AI technology. The aim is to teach primary school students the importance of recycling, promote community environmental awareness and nurture recycling habits among them.
雖然三色廢物分類回收箱在香港隨處可見，但回收率仍不理想，這反映了公眾參與廢物回收的意識薄弱。調查指出教育是推動可持續發展的關鍵因素。因此，我們運用AI技術設計了「智能回收箱」，旨在教育小學生廢物回收的重要性、培養他們的環保意識，並建立回收習慣。
